Rangers make concrete approach to sign Emil Bohinen, transfer could be days away
Rangers are yet to really get going in the January transfer window.
Despite that, Danny Rohl has Ibrox flying with Rangers’ 3-1 win over Celtic on Saturday, putting them joint-second in the table and only six points behind Hearts.
Rohl has made it clear to Andrew Cavenagh that he still needs several new transfers, though, with the Scottish Premiership title in sight once again.
Rangers take on Aberdeen on Tuesday, and although no signings have arrived before that, the doors could really open following it.
Step forward, Emil Bohinen.

This is when Rangers could sign Emil Bohinen
Bohinen is currently on loan at Venezia from Genoa in Italy, but looks likely to move again this month.
TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that Rangers have made their approach for the midfielder, with another loan switch on the cards before 2 February.
Bohinen is set to decide on his future within days, resolving any concerns he previously had.
Do Rangers really need Emil Bohinen?
Rangers have several areas they need to improve in, but midfield may not be the priority.
Connor Barron has been excellent under Rohl, with Nicolas Raskin alongside him and Mohamed Diomande in reserve if needed.
Joe Rothwell looks to be on the way out, with Thelo Aasgaard and Lyall Cameron also struggling, so Bohinen could be a natural option to improve depth at Ibrox.
Cameron could also head out on loan during this window for valuable minutes going into next season, so bringing in Bohinen temporarily could be the perfect response.
Rohl has managed to scrape consistent wins with a squad he admits is below par, so now that he has worked his wonders, it is time for Cavenagh and the 49ers to reward him with signings.
Another three points against Aberdeen when Hearts and Celtic don’t play in midweek could be huge, with all of the momentum heavily going towards Ibrox now.
