Nicolas Raskin head and shoulders above, 4/10 teammate anonymous – Rangers player ratings vs Aberdeen
Rangers breezed to a 2-0 win against Aberdeen on Tuesday evening.
Emmanuel Fernandez and Nicolas Raskin both scored from Connor Barron set-pieces at Ibrox to put the pressure on league leaders Hearts.
Danny Rohl made two changes with James Tavernier and Mohamed Diomande replacing Dujon Sterling and Thelo Aasgaard.
Those decisions paid off as his side recorded a comfortable victory against the Dons on 6 January.
Nicolas Raskin proves the key in Rangers win
Nicolas Raskin has been linked with a Rangers exit this month, and he showed why with an absolutely brilliant performance.
He was head and shoulders above the rest on the Ibrox turf, as he notched the second goal of the contest, with his head.
The Belgian international created two chances for his teammates, and had five shots of his own, three of which were on target, per Sofascore.
He made 14 passes into the final third, and took 115 touches, and his influence on proceedings was undeniable.
He nearly had a second goal in the 79th minute when his long-range effort was saved by Dimitar Mitov, and went just the wrong side of the post.

Defensively, he made nine recoveries and won ten of 14 ground duels for a success rate of 71 per cent, in a stunning individual showing.
Youssef Chermiti anonymous despite Rangers win
Youssef Chermiti was the hero as Rangers beat Celtic, but he was brought down to earth against the Pittodrie outfit.
The striker was hooked after 57 minutes after taking just 21 touches, with just one of those coming in the opposition box.
Chermiti had one shot, which was off target, and failed to create any opportunities for his teammates, in a wildly different showing from his performance against the Hoops.
That is probably going to be the norm for the ex-Everton man, and no matter what he does for the rest of the season, the strikes that helped get Wilfried Nancy sacked will forever live in supporters’ memories.
Rohl needs at least one of his strikers to be firing, but it was not the 21-year-old’s night in Govan and he let the manager down.
