Andrew Cavenagh given major Rangers transfer incentive as Celtic sack Wilfried Nancy

Celtic have decided to sack Wilfried Nancy after losing to Rangers in the William Hill Premiership on Saturday.

Danny Rohl’s team were victorious at Parkhead, with Youssef Chermiti scoring a brace and Mikey Moore finding the back of the net in the 3-1 win.

Nancy was under pressure going into the Old Firm derby, and the Gers put the final nail in the French manager’s coffin in G40.

The French manager’s failures allowed Rohl to close the gap in the league table, but the Light Blues can’t rest on their laurels any longer.

Rangers have to invest as Celtic turnaround on cards

Nancy was clearly out of his depth at Celtic, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them turn things around with the arrival of a competent head coach.

Martin O’Neill won seven of his eight games in charge after replacing Brendan Rodgers on an interim basis, and stability may soon return to Parkhead.

Andrew Cavenagh seems determined to go again at Ibrox in January, but there appears to be nothing concrete in terms of new arrivals at the Gers.

The American owners can’t wait any longer and should immediately pull the trigger on any deals they’ve lined up for Rohl.

With Nancy shown the door at Celtic, the Light Blues now have a major incentive to complete their transfer business immediately.

The Ibrox hierarchy risk losing the ground Rohl has made up over their Old Firm rivals if they aren’t proactive in the winter transfer window.

Danny Rohl to sanction double exit in matter of days

Danilo and Nedim Bajrami have been put up for sale, and it looks like the Gers are trying to raise funds to reinvest in their squad.

While Kieran Dowell, Rabbi Matondo and Clinton Nsiala also seem surplus to requirements at Rangers, their exits may not bring a lot of money in.

Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises look ready to reinvest in the squad, but they will certainly want to clear some space in the Light Blues’ squad and wage bill.

Nancy’s appointment and subsequent exit have shown that things can change in an instant in football, and the Gers should make the most of Celtic’s downfall.
