Rangers open door for Danilo exit in potential sliding doors Ibrox transfer
Danilo could be set to depart Ibrox in January if Rangers receive an appropriate offer for the forward.
Rangers signed Danilo from Feyenoord in 2023 for a £6million fee that hasn’t seemed to have transpired the way everyone wanted it to.
The Brazilian suffered at the start of this campaign like many other stars under the management of Russell Martin.
However, since Danny Rohl‘s arrival, the striker has failed to cement himself as a consistent starter for the German head coach.
Danilo showed signs of promise in the early days of Rohl’s arrival, but the Rangers boss’s preference for Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski could see the number nine struggle for game time.
And Rohl’s stance on Danilo may have just been made clear in a new update.
Rangers ready to listen to offers for Danilo
Danilo’s exit would see him join a long list of recent Rangers transfers that just haven’t worked out.
The 26-year-old, now into his third year with Rangers, has just two goals for the Bears in the Scottish Premiership this campaign, with only six starts to his name.

In Friday’s print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail, it was reported that the striker could leave Ibrox this January.
Rangers are reportedly open to offers for Danilo, and there are suggestions the former Feyenoord man – said to be a big earner – has failed to convince internal figures since coming to Glasgow.
But there are key reasons as to why the Gers can benefit from a Danilo sale, even if Andrew Cavenagh has to cut his losses.
Potential Danilo exit can financially boost Rangers striker pursuit
Danilo is said to be on £39,000 per week, and although it will be hard for Cavenagh and Co. to receive the £6m spent on the forward, the former’s exit would free up wages.
Rangers have been linked with multiple forwards ahead of the January transfer window, but with the market now open, Danilo’s sale could be pivotal.
It’s not known how much the Gers would be willing to spend on a goal scorer, as there may be financial limits given Kevin Thelwell’s awful £20million spending spree in the summer.
However, Rohl has the Bears right in the thick of things at the top of the league, and despite a horrific start to the season, Rangers could be a top-class striker away from winning the title.
