Rangers head to tribunal over Ibrox transfer that’s left manager publicly unhappy
Rangers weren’t afraid of ruffling feathers with their summer transfer business.
Kevin Thelwell has now departed Rangers after coming under increased scrutiny for the signings made under his watch at Ibrox.
Plenty of deals look destined for failure with Youssef Chermiti looking like a Rangers flop already after his big-money move from Everton.
Danny Rohl is getting a tune out of his Rangers side with the Light Blues on the up in the Scottish Premiership right now.
Off-field controversy continues to bubble under the surface and raise questions in Govan, with a tribunal set to bring one dispute to an end.
Rangers ready for Lyall Cameron tribunal
Lyall Cameron linked up with Rangers in the summer after agreeing a pre-contract agreement to swap Dundee for G51.
The Scot was highly rated and seen as a smart move for the Gers, following Connor Barron to Ibrox after his free transfer switch from Aberdeen 12 months prior.
Things just haven’t worked out for the 23-year-old, who has made just two league starts this season and could be on his way out on loan already.
His struggles will only add to frustration over his transfer fee situation, with Dundee yet to receive a penny despite losing a key star in the summer.
The Courier reported on 2 January that the Dark Blues and Rangers are now going to a tribunal after failing to agree on a fee for the midfielder.
The Gers brought in the out-of-contract ace, but are due to pay compensation because he is under the age of 23.
There has been no agreement reached over a fee for Cameron, with tribunal proceedings underway and set to provide a result by next week.

Steven Pressley left fuming by Cameron transfer situation
There has been nothing but frustration surrounding Cameron in recent weeks and months, whether that be at Ibrox or Dens Park.
The Gers are yet to see the best of the Scot, while Dundee have been left annoyed by the lack of a fee involved in his departure.
The midfielder had made 115 appearances before departing the Dark Blues, so losing him for nothing was of massive annoyance to their manager, Steven Pressley.
Speaking on the pre-contract transfer structure, he said: “I think the current system’s wrong. I don’t think a player should be playing for an opponent or an opposition team without the selling club having received some form of compensation. So the current system, in my opinion, is flawed.“
The frustration is clear and extremely valid, so the tribunal should provide all parties with much-needed clarity on the situation.
