Tom English expects Rangers to follow through with transfer promise he’s been personally told
Rangers fans could potentially be in for an exciting time in the winter transfer window.
Danny Rohl beat St Mirren in the William Hill Premiership on 30 December, closing the gap to six points with league leaders Hearts.
The German manager will now hope the Light Blues back him in January as he hopes to keep in the race for the title after a poor start under Russell Martin.
Andrew Cavenagh has appointed Stig Inge Bjornebye as a consultant, with the former Norway international expected to help the Glaswegian outfit get their recruitment right.

Rangers will surely invest heavily on January signings
Tom English has been told to expect significant investment at Ibrox and expects Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises to follow through on it.
While the American owners arguably wasted a lot of money on Kevin Thelwell’s signings, they are willing to keep on spending to achieve success in Govan.
The former Everton sporting director brought 12 players to the Glaswegian outfit in the summer, and it’s safe to say a majority of them haven’t worked out.
Speaking on the Scottish Football Podcast on 30 December, English said, “Yeah, I think there will be. Let’s see those words that were articulated to me are actioned. I think they will be. I don’t think that the new owners are saying, ‘Well, we invested a lot of money and some of it would appear to have been badly invested, so we’re not investing anymore.’ That’s not where they’re coming from.”
The journalist added, “I think they realise not every signing is going to hit the target, so they move on. That’s what they’ve been saying. Let’s see what happens next. But it’s an exciting time for Rangers.”
There’s already talk of Lyall Cameron and Findlay Curits maybe leaving on loan, which would evidently suggest room is being made for reinforcements.
Danny Rohl already has eyes on first signing at Ibrox
Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl is the priority at Ibrox, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Gers go all out for the Norway Under-21 international soon.
The 20-year-old has been one of the biggest prospects in Eliteserien, and the towering youngster can certainly be Nicolas Raskin’s successor at Rangers.

With Hjerto-Dahl reportedly valued at around £6million, it looks like Cavenagh isn’t afraid to go big once again in the transfer window.
Proper recruitment in January could potentially be game-changing at Ibrox, with the William Hill Premiership title still up for grabs.
