Kris Boyd guarantees one Rangers transfer as player now has to leave Ibrox
Rangers are expected to bolster their midfield in the winter transfer window.
Danny Rohl is prioritising signing a new number six at Ibrox in January, with the German manager looking to build the team around the new player.
Andrew Cavenagh has hired Stig Inge Bjornebye to help with the recruitment strategy at the Gers, and it will be interesting to see how much money the American owner is willing to spend after heavy investment in the summer.
With the prospects of incomings at the Glaswegian outfit, some players will surely have to leave for regular game time elsewhere.

Lyall Cameron should look for Rangers January exit
Lyall Cameron has been told to leave the Gers to kickstart his career after barely getting any minutes this season.
Boyd has guaranteed additions in the middle of the park at Ibrox, which will arguably only make things difficult for the former Dundee star.
The 23-year-old Scotsman joined the Light Blues in the summer after a pre-contract agreement, but he’s barely played under Rohl, featuring for around four minutes in the last 10 matches in all competitions.
Speaking on Go Ballistic on 29 December, Boyd said, “There’s no doubt Rangers in that area will look to strengthen. There’s no doubt in that for me. So it might be a case of he has to go out to get minutes to kickstart his career again.”
Cameron and Findlay Curtis could be allowed to leave on loan, with the midfielder particularly in demand from teams in Scotland and England.
The ex-Dundee star’s situation at the Glaswegian outfit will certainly be one to keep an eye on, with an exit definitely the best thing for his development.
Danny Rohl to sanction six exits at Ibrox
Cameron and Curtis should look to further their development elsewhere, as Rohl clearly doesn’t yet trust them.
Clinton Nsiala is another player who desperately needs to go out and get regular minutes in his legs after disappearing at Rangers.
| Player | Minutes played |
| Rabbi Matondo | 0 |
| Clinton Nsiala | 39 |
| Kieran Dowell | 124 |
| Findlay Curtis | 181 |
| Lyall Cameron | 183 |
| Joe Rothwell | 412 |
Joe Rothwell’s stint in Glasgow hasn’t gone to plan, and a move back down south would be best for both parties.
Kieran Dowell and Rabbi Matondo are also taking up space at the Gers, and getting their wages off the books seems sensible.
