Danny Rohl to give Barry Ferguson his big Rangers wish after new transfer admission
Danny Rohl has hinted at the business Rangers will be trying to do in the near future.
Rangers secured a 1-0 win over Motherwell at Ibrox on Saturday, somewhat keeping their Scottish Premiership title hopes alive.
However, their ability to keep progressing will be determined by the business they can do in January, and beyond that, in the summer.
The Light Blues have often looked overseas for new recruits to bolster their chances of returning to the summit of Scottish football, but Rohl has hinted that could change.

Rohl opens door for Rangers to seal Scottish transfers
Only one of Rangers’ 14 summer signings arrived from another club in Scotland, while only three of them had played in the country before.
Lyall Cameron arrived from Dundee, and he has played just 186 minutes of league football for the Light Blues so far this season.
Rangers’ unwillingness to sign players closer to home seems to get on the nerves of former Ibrox boss Barry Ferguson, but Rohl could be set to influence a change in that regard in the near future.
Via BBC, he said: “We should not close our eyes to the Scottish market. You have players who have the experience here in this league.

“They know what it means to play against other teams. They know what it means also to play for Rangers or against Rangers.
“I’m totally open. It’s not about the market. It’s really about which position the players can help us.”
Lawrence Shankland is a perfect showcase of what Rangers are missing out on
One of the hottest players in Scottish football right now is Lawrence Shankland, who has scored 10 goals in his 18 appearances for Hearts this season.
In the 2023-24 season, he bagged 31 in all competitions and 28 in the season prior.
Shankland was linked with a move to Rangers in the summer, but the Gers opted to sign Youseff Chermiti instead.
Had he made the move to Ibrox, it could have been a very different story, but the likelihood is that he would have addressed the scoring concerns that the Gers have had since Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane departed in the summer.
If Rohl’s words are anything to go by, that could be about to change in Glasgow, and the Light Blues could reap the benefits of it.
