Rangers are Mikey Moore injury away from total collapse in scathing Kris Boyd verdict
Rangers would lack creativity without Mikey Moore in the team, Kris Boyd says.
Danny Rohl was handed his first league loss by Hearts on 21 December, with Stuart Findlay and Lawrence Shankland scoring in the Gers’ 2-1 loss.
Youssef Chermiti’s 95th-minute strike at Tynecastle Park was nothing more than a consolation as the Jam Tarts stretched over the Light Blues to 12 points.
Moore has turned things around under Rohl at Ibrox after an underwhelming start to the season, but he may be the only reliable creative outlet at the Glaswegian outfit.

Rangers bang average after what’s happened in William Hill Premiership
Boyd slammed the Gers in a scathing assessment, criticising them for playing for set-pieces.
The Scotsman believes the Light Blues would collapse if Moore gets injured at Ibrox once again.
Boyd feels the Glaswegian outfit are devoid of any creativity and termed them a “bang average team”, and sitting fourth in the William Hill Premiership reflects that.
Speaking on Go Ballistic on 22 December, the former Gers star said, “For me, Rangers are an injury away for Moore from total collapse. There’s nothing there to create opportunities. They look like a bang average team that plays for corner kicks. They play for set plays. They play for long throw-ins. There’s no creativity in the Rangers team right now.”
Rohl was being lauded for reigniting a title charge at Ibrox, but the loss to Hearts has shown that the Light Blues are a long way from competing in the William Hill Premiership.
Considering how things are going, it doesn’t even look like the team from Govan will be able to take advantage of the crisis at Celtic under Wilfried Nancy, which will be disappointing for fans in G51.
Nedim Bajrami injury update a boost for Danny Rohl
Nedim Bajrami was beginning to get into Rohl’s plans before picking up an injury against Kilmarnock on 6 December.
The Albania international showed glimpses of his talent at Rangers as the German manager dealt with multiple attacking absences.
Speaking in his pre-Motherwell press conference, Rohl said, “Bajrami, the scan was positive, but he needs a couple more days.”
With the winter transfer window set to commence on 1 January 2026, it will be interesting to see how things pan out at the Glaswegian outfit in the coming weeks.
