Jayden Meghoma future must be clear for Danny Rohl after what happened in Hearts vs Rangers
Jayden Meghoma had an afternoon to forget in Rangers’ 2-1 loss to Hearts on Sunday.
Rangers fell away from the Scottish Premiership title race after a dismal defeat at Tynecastle on 21 December.
Danny Rohl‘s side were outclassed for a large majority of the clash, before Youssef Chermiti managed a late consolation.
Meghoma, who is on loan from Premier League outfit Brentford, had a particularly difficult afternoon against the league leaders.

What did Meghoma do in Rangers loss to Hearts?
Meghoma has had a difficult start to life at Rangers, struggling to win over supporters with his performances on the left-side of defence.
He would not have done himself any favours against the Jambos, as he had as poor a showing as any of his teammates.
Meghoma attempted one cross, which did not reach its intended destination and gave the ball away on 12 separate occasions, per Sofascore.
That definitely did not help the Light Blues, as the full-back was constantly giving it back to Derek McInnes’ side.
Defensively, he attempted two tackles and won one, made one interception and three clearances, as he failed to make an impact when the Gers needed him to.

In terms of duels, he won just one of the five in the air, for a 20 per cent success rate, but he did manage to win 60 per cent of his ground duels.
Rohl should have clear priority after Meghoma display vs Hearts
The left-back position should have been a priority anyway, as Meghoma is not a permanent Gers player, and is only on loan for the season.
However, his display against Hearts should accelerate the signing of another player in that position, as it should be a concern for Rohl.
Meghoma has not had an impressive start to his career in Scottish football, and his addition looks like another failure from the recruitment staff in Govan.
Luckily for Rohl, Kevin Thelwell has departed from Rangers, so there may be a chance to correct his mistakes when the window reopens.
The ex-Sheffield Wednesday boss must take that opportunity, and start to shape the squad in the way that he wants, and find a better option than Meghoma.
