‘Negative’ Kevin Thelwell signing must leave Rangers, he’s not good enough
Rangers should look to get rid of Max Aarons in the winter transfer window, Derek Ferguson says.
The former Gers midfielder doesn’t think the Englishman, who was signed on a season-long loan from Bournemouth in the summer, has what it takes to succeed in Govan.
Aarons has found his feet a bit under Danny Rohl in recent weeks, but the Light Blues clearly need to strengthen their squad in January.
Andrew Cavenagh is willing to spend at Ibrox in the coming weeks, and that could potentially mean the end for some of the loan signings at the Glaswegian outfit.

Derek Ferguson blasts Max Aarons at Rangers
When asked who needs to leave the Gers, Ferguson named Aarons as one of the players.
While Rohl has recently relied on the 25-year-old at Ibrox, the former Scotland international doesn’t think he’s good enough to play for the Light Blues.
The Bournemouth star was brought in to compete with James Tavernier for a place in the starting lineup, but after a disastrous start to the right-back’s spell at the Glaswegian outfit, he lost his place in the team.
Speaking on Open Goal on 18 December, Ferguson said: “Aarons, I don’t think he’s good enough. I know he’s given him an opportunity, but I don’t like a lot about him. He’s kind of quite negative for me.”

Dujon Sterling’s return to action is a massive boost for Rohl, and fans will hope he can remain consistently fit until the end of the season.
The former Chelsea defender has added much-needed quality to the Gers’ defence, which was undoubtedly needed after injuries to John Souttar and Derek Cornelius.
Clinton Nsiala update indicates Danny Rohl intentions in January window
Clinton Nsiala will be allowed to leave Ibrox in the winter transfer window along with three other players.
Rangers are also open to parting ways with Joe Rothwell, Kieran Dowell and Rabbi Matondo in the coming weeks.
With the French centre-back’s future at the Light Blues uncertain, it looks like the German manager is paving the way for a new centre-back to arrive in G51.
Nasser Djiga and Emmanuel Fernandez have shown fragility at the back, and a quality defender should be high up on the Glaswegian outfit’s wishlist.
