Findlay Curtis need for patience highlighted as details shared on Danny Rohl talks at Rangers

Danny Rohl is confident that Findlay Curtis will continue to get better in a Rangers shirt.

Rangers beat Hibernian 1-0 at Ibrox on Monday as Rohl gathered another three points in the Gers’ climb back up the Scottish Premiership table.

Emmanuel Fernandez was praised for his winning goal and all-around performance against David Gray’s side, while Curtis was handed his first league start of the season.

There have been calls to start Curtis, but his performance has Rangers fans questioning the 19-year-old’s true potential.

However, the young Scot has now revealed what Rohl told him after the match, which underlines exactly why more patience is needed with the teenager.

Findlay Curtis vows to improve weaknesses amid Danny Rohl’s advice

Curtis can go right to the top for Rangers, but some don’t see it yet.

He is part of one of the worst squads that the Bears have had in recent times, yet still appears to be one of the brightest sparks on the pitch every time he plays.

Curtis will most likely be disappointed with his performance against Hibs, but not much could have been expected from the starlet, given his lack of match sharpness.

Rangers Review shared a video on X of Curtis speaking following the win over Hibs, where the winger opened up on what Rohl has been saying to him.

Curtis said: “He just said to keep knuckling down in training, and the rewards will come if you keep working hard.

“I think he’s been very good with me and very honest. He’s told me bits where I’ve been very good and told me bits where I need to work on. So I will work hard on those bits.”

It’s good to see that Rohl isn’t giving up on Curtis, as it’s obvious that the head coach sees something in the youngster.

Rohl should keep faith in Curtis amid Djeidi Gassama uncertainty

Djeidi Gassama has been tipped for a move to Villarreal in recent weeks, all while the Rangers man has been slammed for poor performances.

Rohl made a big call in benching the Frenchman versus Hibs, instead giving the nod to Curtis.

But if Gassama is truly on his way out of Glasgow, then what harm would there be in continuing to play Curtis?

The only way the winger will improve is through game time, and Rohl needs to keep faith in him, despite a poor performance.
