Danny Rohl to surely push for permanent Rangers transfer after recent displays

Max Aarons has been in fine form of late for Rangers, and Danny Rohl could be tempted to ask for the move to be made permanent.

Rangers signed Aarons from Bournemouth in the summer on a straight season-long loan, which will see him depart Ibrox in 2026.

Rohl is still healing the Gers after Russell Martin destroyed Rangers in the early part of the season, with many players underperforming under the latter’s management.

Aarons was poor under Martin, but is now starting to show his true colours for Rohl, as a permanent move now seems like a no-brainer for the Bears.

Max Aarons has been top-notch for Rangers, stats prove it

Kevin Thelwell got next to nothing right during his time in Glasgow, but he might have got Aarons bang on the money.

Rangers have been slowly improving since Rohl’s arrival, and Aarons in particular has been going under the radar for his performances.

His form in his last five games, as highlighted by Sofascore, proves the full-back’s brilliance.

The Gers beat Hibernian 1-0 at Ibrox on Monday, in what was potentially the right-back’s best outing in a Rangers shirt.

Despite playing in a fairly foreign position in an advanced role on the right-hand side, Aarons still managed to impress by winning 100 per cent of his three tackles.

He had to bide his time at first, but Aarons deserves the love from the Rangers faithful for puffing out his chest and proving his worth in a relatively difficult period for the club.

Aarons is James Tavernier’s replacement

It may be a hard truth to face, but James Tavernier’s best days are behind him. It’s a sad reality, but most Rangers fans knew that one day he was going to have to be replaced.

The good news is that Aarons is already here, as the Englishman looks capable of filling Tavernier’s boots.

It’s not known when the Rangers skipper will leave Ibrox, but Rohl needs to ask Andrew Cavenagh to dip his hands in his pockets to sign Aarons permanently.

He may not be as good as Tavernier, but no one will be able to truly replace the passion that the 34-year-old possesses, even if he does still have his critics.

But Aarons may just be the next best thing after him.
