John Souttar contract offered with other Rangers exits already in pipeline – Expert
John Souttar has had a contract saga hanging over his head all season at Ibrox.
It has been a whirlwind year for the defender, with Souttar now injured only weeks after Scotland qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
Despite his long-term absence, which will go into next year, Souttar has been offered a new contract by Rangers with a substantial pay rise.
Danny Rohl has seen enough to warrant a new contract for his main defender, though others may not be so lucky in his first assessment of the squad.

Dan Plumley believes that certain Rangers players will be on the chopping block in January, with Souttar doing enough to prove himself to the new manager.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the football finance expert admits that Rohl will be critical to all of these decisions, regardless of who is above him.
“Yes, for sure,” Plumley said. “Rohl will now be in a good position to assess this squad and work out who he wants to keep hold of and who might be surplus to requirements further down the line.
“You would probably expect more shakeup than perhaps in the summer.
“Rohl is the type of manager who would want a say in these types of decisions, even at a club where you have a sporting director in place.”

Joe Rothwell is set to leave Rangers and currently looks set to join Sheffield United.
The English midfielder has failed to get anywhere near what he gave Leeds last season, only featuring once under Rohl in his opening game at Brann.
Youssef Chermiti is another big-money summer signing who has failed, and the Portuguese flop could also move away, proving Kevin Thelwell’s sacking was the right call.
With Rangers still in the Scottish Premiership title race, January could be make or break at Ibrox.
