Rangers could call quits on Thelo Aasgaard experiment amid Joe Aribo update
Rangers could soon replace Thelo Aasgaard with Joe Aribo.
Aasgaard signed for Rangers from Luton Town in the summer, but has largely failed to perform at the top level for the Light Blues.
The Norway international has scored one goal for the Gers, although Aasgaard will be remembered for his red card against Celtic at Hampden Park.
The attacking midfielder was sent off as Celtic secured an extra-time victory over Rangers, leaving many to blame the summer signing.
Aasgaard could now be facing the exit door in the face at Ibrox as the potential of a Joe Aribo return could end his hope of becoming a regular in Govan.

Joe Aribo could return to Rangers
The Nigeria international scored a famous goal for the Gers in the Europa League final defeat against Frankfurt.
He eventually made a move to Southampton, but is struggling for regular minutes and could be on the move in January.
Gordon Dalziel has suggested Aribo may return to Rangers in a move that could benefit all parties moving into the second half of the season.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard he said: “Aribo knows the club. It’s under different ownership and a different manager, but he knows the supporters, the demands put on you when you play for a club the size of Rangers. It’s an interesting one.
“I don’t know if I can see it happening or not because I’ve not really heard anything going down that road. He was good at Rangers. He was a good player. But it just depends on how the manager going forward is going to play, if that’s the sort of player he wants in his squad and he wants in his team.“
With the door open to a potential Ibrox move, it is likely that Danny Rohl will look to move on players in a similar position.
That could spell bad news for Aasgaard, especially after a less-than-ideal start to life since moving to G51 in the summer.

Thelo Aasgard could be replaced by Aribo at Rangers
The Norwegian midfielder is only 23 years old, so he has plenty of room to grow, but that isn’t a reason enough for the Light Blues to keep him around.
There has been little evidence that he will ever be good enough to start every week for Rangers, while Aribo has proven exactly that in the past.

The Southampton man looks like he needs a career boost, and a return to arguably the club where he was at his most successful could benefit everyone involved.
That won’t be the case for Aasgaard, who could find himself on the chopping block in Govan after just six months.
