Max Aarons shares what Danny Rohl’s told him that Russell Martin didn’t
Danny Rohl has got Rangers moving in the right direction since his appointment at Ibrox.
Rohl replaced Russell Martin back in October following the club’s horrific start to the campaign, which had seen the former Southampton boss at the centre of fan protests.
The Gers sat sixth in the Scottish Premiership with just nine points from their first eight games at the time of Rohl’s appointment.
In his seven matches in charge, though, the 36-year-old has guided Rangers up to fourth in the table, and they now sit on 26 points from 15 games.

Danny Rohl has completely changed Max Aarons’ fortunes
One player who has really felt the effects of Rohl’s arrival is Max Aarons, with the defender finally displaying some of his talents under the former Sheffield Wednesday boss.
Aarons struggled badly in the early stages of the campaign and came in for a lot of criticism.
However, speaking to Rangers Review, the full-back revealed how Rohl has come in and simplified his game, helping him find some form.
He said: “(It’s been) a lot better. Since the new manager has come in, it has been great.

“I think when he (Rohl) came in, he looked at some of my games at the start of the season and told me some of the areas that he wanted me to play in more, in terms of going forward and attacking and the runs I am making, things like that.
“He simplified how to really get the best out of me, and I can feel that when we are speaking, and that trust that he has.”
Danny Rohl improving other in Rangers squad
Rohl has not just had an impact on the fortunes of Aarons either, with the young manager helping other players in the squad.
Bojan Miovski was another who had an abysmal start to the season, after coming in from Girona over the summer.
After managing just one goal in his opening 11 Scottish Premiership matches of the campaign, Miovski then grabbed a brace in Rangers’ 3-0 win over Livingston on Saturday.
Currently, the Gers are nine points adrift of table-topping Hearts, and six points behind rivals Celtic.
If Rohl can continue revitalising his squad and helping players discover some form though, there is no reason why Rangers can’t mount a title challenge.
