Danny Rohl has ‘special’ player who can transform Rangers amid Ibrox crisis
Rangers are expected to improve their Europa League record after a turnaround domestically under Danny Rohl.
The Gers have zero points on the board in the European competition with four losses and one draw so far, and that’s something the German manager hasn’t been able to address yet.
Rohl is unbeaten in the William Hill Premiership since replacing Russell Martin, and there are talks of the Light Blues getting back into the title race.
While the former Sheffield Wednesday boss has enjoyed stability in Scotland, Ferencvaros will be a big test at the Groupama Arena on 11 December, especially during a fitness crisis in the backline.

Dujon Sterling return on horizon at Rangers
Rohl expects Dujon Sterling to be back in action sooner rather than later, with minutes in Budapest not ruled out.
The German manager has had to rely on Nasser Djiga and Emmanuel Fernandez as his first-choice centre-backs in recent weeks, following John Souttar and Derek Cornelius’ injuries at Ibrox.
While Sterling is considered a right-back, he did well playing centrally for Phillipe Clement and Barry Ferguson last season, bringing stability to the Glaswegian outfit’s defence, and he can possibly transform it again.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on 10 December, Rohl said: “I heard a lot of good things from him. I see him in the training session. He’s a special guy, I must say this. I think he is brave enough. He knows what it means, but it’s also important that his body is ready.”

Djiga will travel with Burkina Faso for the Africa Cup of Nations soon, and Sterling’s potential return to action arguably couldn’t have come at the right time.
The Light Blues may have to wait until the turn of the year for Souttar and Cornelius to be 100 per cent fit, making the 26-year-old Englishman’s return a massive boost.

Dujon Sterling can work wonders in Danny Rohl’s system at Ibrox, here’s how
Sterling has been back in first-team training at Auchenhowie for some time now, and the defender has been on the bench in recent matches.
Rohl has played multiple formations at Rangers so far, starting with a 3-4-3 and now switching to a more traditional 4-2-3-1, likely due to personnel constraints.

The Englishman can slot in at right or centre-back, which could give the German manager more flexibility in his in-game management.
Sterling’s pace will surely come in handy in a back-three, or he may be deployed in place of James Tavernier, with question marks over the captain’s defensive capabilities, but only time will tell when the former Chelsea star can return to action.
