‘I was at Kilmarnock – This is what I saw that should see Rangers fined by SPFL’
Rangers look set to face punishment from the SPFL after fan disruption away to Kilmarnock.
Rangers secured a 3-0 win away to Kilmarnock as Danny Rohl’s side got back to winning ways after three consecutive draws.
The Light Blues faithful were delighted to see Bojan Miovski get on the scoresheet in Kilmarnock, but the three points were somewhat overshadowed.
Rangers fans set off flares at Rugby Park in a wild display and look to have caused themselves problems due to the fiery look in the stands.
The SPFL could soon be in line to slap the Gers with a financial blow, with a first-person perspective likely to give the league organisers further reason to punish them.

Rangers set for SPFL fine after Kilmarnock display
Jack Butland put in a positive shift away to Kilmarnock, but arguably could have been sent off for a wild challenge that could have been viewed in many different ways.
That wasn’t the main controversy of the night away from Ibrox as supporters used pyrotechnics to an extreme level before kick off.
Red flares engulfed the away section at Rugby Park with smoke in far from acceptable scenes ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash.
Considering that the Bears are already under caution for previous fan disruption, this is unlikely to go down well with the SPFL.
Scottish Daily Mail journalist Calum Crowe has spoken out in his 10 December column to reveal his first-person perspective of what he saw from the Rangers fans.
He said: “The news that an 11-year-old boy was injured by a flare set off in the Rangers end prior to the game at Kilmarnock is just the latest example of why this lack of action can no longer continue.
“I was working at the game at Rugby Park on Saturday night. I saw with my own eyes the scale of the pyro display.
“The consequences are likely to see Rangers, who already had a suspended sentence hanging over their head, hit with a fine, along with the SPFL reducing their ticket allocation for future away matches.“
Rangers can have no complaints with SPFL punishment
There are only so many times the Gers can be warned and let off before serious action has to be taken to prevent accidents.
No one should go to a game and come away with burns due to the use of flares, especially not an 11-year-old.
That should be the wake-up call the supporters need to reign back their behaviour and showcase their passion in better and safer ways.
You don’t need to use flares and pyros to showcase your love for your football club, so maybe a fine and an allocation reduction could have the desired effect.
