Nedim Bajrami will be terrified as ‘amazing’ Rangers star is handed perfect opportunity to end his Ibrox career

Nedim Bajrami will be terrified that Findlay Curtis could end his Rangers career after his injury against Kilmarnock.

Despite a positive few outings for Rangers in recent weeks, Bajrami is now set for time on the sidelines.

The Albanian international was forced off in the 3-0 victory over Kilmarnock early on, in what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

While it has not been confirmed exactly how long the 26-year-old will be out for, it could easily be a substantial period, which could offer the perfect chance to Curtis.

Findlay Curtis now has perfect chance to prove himself to Danny Rohl

Curtis has brought on for Rangers after Bajrami was forced off.

It was a rare appearance for the youngster under Danny Rohl, who has struggled for minutes since the German’s arrival.

In fact, it was the first time Curtis had played over a half of first-team football since August, with the 19-year-old mainly being seen on the bench.

However, now that Bajrami is injured, as well as Oliver Antman, the winger now has the perfect chance to show that he deserves to be starting week in, week out.

The youngster has already impressed in Europe this season, with Curtis being labelled “amazing” by Russell Martin after Rangers’ win over Panathinaikos, where the attacker netted the opener.

If Curtis can revive these types of performances, there is no reason why he can’t become an important player this season.

However, this chance will no doubt terrify Bajrami, as if the youngster establishes himself as a star player, it could signal the end of his Ibrox career, with the Albanian international already struggling for minutes.

How has Curtis performed this season?

According to Sofascore on 8 December, Curtis has been solid when he has been given minutes.

Despite only averaging 24 minutes per game, he has still netted three times this campaign, making him one of the top scorers this season so far for the Gers.

On top of this, he is not afraid to shoot, while he is also helping out defensively.

Therefore, if he is given a chance under Rohl for a string of games, there is nothing to suggest that he would underperform.
