Rangers fans will love what Neil McCann said about Bojan Miovski after his dazzling performance vs Kilmarnock

Bojan Miovski netted a brace on Saturday as Rangers overcame Kilmarnock 3-0, with Neil McCann believing that the striker has got his confidence back.

It was a wonderful performance from the North Macedonia international as he netted one goal in each half to ensure an easy victory for Danny Rohl’s side.

Miovski had been routinely criticised at Rangers since his summer move, with the attacker only netting once in the Scottish Premiership before the Killie win.

Yet, the striker looked like a different player at Rugby Park, something that McCann was quick to take note of.

Neil McCann: Bojan Miovski has his confidence back

Before his move to Spain last season, Miovski was one of the most feared strikers in Scotland.

Playing for Aberdeen, the 26-year-old netted 44 times in 98 appearances, a highly impressive feat.

Yet, after failing at Girona, it looked as if Miovski had lost his ability after a disastrous start to his Rangers career.

However, against Kilmarnock, the striker came to life, with two excellent finishes to put the game out of sight for the hosts.

Commenting on his first goal, McCann was quick to praise Miovski on Sky Sports on 6 December.

He said: “That’s a striker that seems to be bang back in confidence.”

These words are exactly what the Rangers fans want to here. The Ibrox faithful have been starved of goals from their frontline this season in what has been an awful campaign to date.

However, if Miovski can finally hit form, it may give the supporters hope that a successful season can still come about.

What did Miovski say after the win over Kilmarnock?

Understandably, Miovski was thrilled to be back among the goals on Saturday.

It had been a long time coming for the North Macedonian international, who has no doubt had a tough start at Ibrox.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, the striker was delighted with the result.

He stated: “It feels good [to score two goals].

“We kept a clean sheet and scored three goals. We like the three points but we need to keep going.

“I work really hard, as a player I know you need to have consistency. I’ve played three games in a row, I feel better and better in every game. Hopefully, I will continue this way.

“As a football player sometimes you don’t score but you need to keep working hard. I did that, I didn’t forget how to score goals and I know that will come.”
