Kris Boyd shares damning Rangers transfer claim as players hit glass ceiling at Ibrox
Kris Boyd doesn’t see any of the flop signings at Rangers leaving anytime soon.
Kevin Thelwell’s faith in Youssef Chermiti was arguably one of the reasons he didn’t last long at the Gers.
The sporting director heavily relied on the market down south in the summer, but that has undoubtedly led to a dip in the Light Blues’ quality.
There are already suggestions that Chermiti may leave Ibrox in January, but that could potentially be a big ask in G51.

Rangers will struggle to offload players in January
Boyd doesn’t see any team wanting to sign the players who have struggled at the Gers after signing in the summer.
The former Scottish forward has suggested that the move to Ibrox will be the most significant transfer in the careers of most of the current players in the Light Blues’ squad.
With the likes of Thelo Aasgaard, Oliver Antman and Chermiti arguably not good enough for the Glaswegian outfit, they may be stuck with them nonetheless for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on Go Ballistic on 5 December, Boyd said: “The problem is they’ve been brought in, and they’ll be on big contracts, long-term contracts. And it’s easy to say get to the January transfer window or summer window — who’s going to take them? They’re not performing.”
The Scotsman added: “I think a lot of the Rangers players right now are hitting the glass ceiling in terms of wages and the club they’re going to be at. I don’t see anybody right now that’s got any chance of leaving.”
Bojan Miovski is another summer signing who’s struggling at Ibrox, and it remains to be seen how long Danny Rohl will give the underperforming players before losing faith in them.

Danny Rohl to prioritise one Ibrox signing in January
Chermiti and Miovski have been undoubted failures at Ibrox, leaving the Gers fans to rue the absence of Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane.
Rangers should definitely look to sign a new number nine in the winter transfer window to address their attacking woes.
| Player | Goals |
| James Tavernier | 7 |
| Djeidi Gassama | 6 |
| Findlay Curtis | 3 |
| Danilo | 3 |
The Light Blues have scored 19 goals in the William Hill Premiership this season, and for comparison, Hearts have scored 30 times in the league.
It’s far-fetched to think someone in the Glaswegian outfit’s current squad will get close to Dessers’ goal tally from the previous campaign, making the addition of a prolific striker an evident priority.
