Bailey Rice surely edging closer to Ibrox exit as major Rangers concern revealed
Bailey Rice may have sealed his own fate at Rangers, as he looks set to leave Ibrox.
Rangers look set to lose Rice on a free transfer, with the likes of Aston Villa, Sunderland and West Brom interested in the 19-year-old.
Rice has struggled to make the grade at Rangers, with many placing the blame on the Govan outfit and calling for a revamp of the academy, as a result.
However, it may not be the club’s fault after a new behind-the-scenes reveal from Auchenhowie on Rice‘s future.

Bailey Rice’s attitude may be the reason for Rangers exit
Rice looks set to leave Rangers at the end of the season, with the two parties unable to agree on a new contract.
Calum Crowe believes that while it is easy to blame the club for the player’s lack of development, it may be on the youngster instead, with talk emerging from Ibrox about his attitude.
Writing in the Daily Mail on 2 December, he said: “There’s been talk around Rangers for quite some time now that Rice’s attitude has been a key factor in why he has failed to push on.
“When young players fail to make the grade or live up to the hype, it’s easy to point fingers at clubs for not developing them properly.

“Sometimes, however, the kids also need to look in the mirror and ask if they’ve applied themselves properly.”
Rangers cannot be held to ransom by Rice
While the Gers could definitely do more in terms of providing opportunities for their young stars, they also have to prove that they are ready to step up.
Rice has not featured in the Scottish Premiership this season, while Findlay Curtis has only played 57 minutes in the competition.
However, while Curtis should feel aggrieved at missing out so often, Rice has failed to earn a spot, otherwise, a string of managers would not have overlooked him for a regular starting berth.
The Light Blues cannot be pressured into giving the former Motherwell ace more minutes, as he does not deserve it at the moment.
It seems as though he will depart when his current deal expires, and that is the right outcome for all parties, as the move has not worked out the way that they would have hoped.
He has simply failed to kick on in G51 after coming in as a very promising talent, which does not bode well if he does end up earning a move to the Premier League.
