‘This is how many signings Rangers want in January as early talk emerges from Ibrox’
Rangers look destined to be busy in the January transfer window after a shocking start to the season.
The Gers find themselves fourth in the Scottish Premiership under Danny Rohl after Rangers could only manage a 0-0 draw against Falkirk last time around.
James Tavernier was poor against Falkirk, but he wasn’t alone in performing badly in a clash that the Light Blues really should have won at Ibrox.
Many players in blue represent a concern, with Rangers’ summer signings like Oliver Antman starting badly despite high expectations after their moves.
The Govan club can’t afford to replicate these mistakes as they set out their stall ahead of the winter window.

Rangers want multiple January signings
Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart have left Rangers, seemingly forced out after a poor record in their respective roles.
The most recent window was the final straw, even if it was Thelwell’s first summer in charge, as multiple shoddy signings were completed.
The likes of Youssef Chermiti, Emmanuel Fernandez and Joe Rothwell were brought in, but have failed to impress so far in G51.

That doesn’t look to have put off the Gers hierarchy, with funds set to be made available for new additions next month.
The 4th Official, a journalist who has previously collaborated with Fabrizio Romano, reported via their Patreon that signings are being lined up ahead of the winter.
They said: “There’s talk that Rangers will target three signings in January, but it looks like thirty is more likely required to repair this broken football team.“
Should that be the case, it will certainly be interesting to see who the Govan outfit swoops for once the market opens.
Who could Rangers sign in January?
It is unclear right now how much Rohl will be afforded to make changes to his side in January.
The German requires multiple recruits, but could be limited to just three deals when the winter window opens.
A true number 10 could be a useful addition, while a goalscoring number nine may prove to be the most important addition for the Gers.

A central defender may also be targeted by Rangers, with Nasser Djiga and Fernandez a step below the current level, especially while John Souttar and Derek Cornelius are out.
There are plenty of areas on the pitch that could make a difference across the second half of the season, so it will be interesting to see what direction Rohl goes.
