James Tavernier brutally slammed after what he did in Rangers vs Falkirk – ‘Terrible’
James Tavernier was slammed by BBC reporter Alasdair Lamont for a “terrible” moment in the first half of Rangers’ clash with Falkirk on Sunday.
Rangers offered little in an attacking sense in the opening 45 minutes of the Scottish Premiership contest at Ibrox.
Falkirk were always going to be tough for Rangers to break down and so that proved as Danny Rohl’s men laboured for 45 minutes.
Tavernier saw plenty of the ball but could not make a telling difference in the final third, with one moment in particular being called out.

James Tavernier slammed for poor deliveries vs Falkirk
Rohl left out-of-form Rangers forward Youssef Chermiti out of his side, which he explained was down to illness rather than anything else.
Rangers’ attacking players offered little in the first half against Falkirk, with supporters again letting their frustrations known.
One of the more frustrating aspects was the inability to get the ball into the box, with Tavernier fluffing his lines midway through the first half when miscuing a cross out of play.
Tavernier was a long way from goal wide on the right when hoofing an attempted cross straight into the Ibrox stands.
Reacting to that piece of play on BBC Scotland’s radio coverage from Ibrox, Lamont said: “That’s a terrible ball behind Scott Bain’s goal. Poor delivery.”
Tavernier held his hands up for that poor delivery, but it’s not the first time of late that his crosses have been way below par.
Rangers fans unhappy at half-time vs Falkirk
Rangers fans booed at half-time against Livingston last weekend and did likewise on Sunday against Falkirk.
It was a first-half display devoid of any real ideas against a side Rangers really should be dominating from start to finish.
To Rohl’s credit, Rangers have found a way to win every league game under his tenure this season despite never really being fully at it.
A big improvement is needed in the second half, mainly from those in the final third of the field. If not, the fans will not hold back when that full-time whistle sounds.
