Chris Sutton can’t help himself with pathetic seven-word Rangers message after Falkirk shocker

Chris Sutton took his customary swipe at Rangers after Sunday’s dismal 0-0 draw against Falkirk at Ibrox.

Rangers were held by Falkirk in a display that lacked any sort of attacking intend from the first minute until the last.

James Tavernier was particularly bad for Rangers, who had four shots on target but did not deserve to come away with the three points.

Danny Rohl’s winning league start as Rangers boss is therefore over, and Sutton was quick to twist the knife on social media after what happened at Ibrox.

Rangers players were booed off at half-time against Livingston last week but ultimately did enough to pick up a fourth successive league win.

However, they could not find that extra gear against Falkirk in what was a worrying performance from Rohl’s side.

Soon after the full-time whistle sounded in Glasgow, Sutton took to X to post: “Good point for Rangers in the end…

Ex-Celtic player Sutton regularly takes aim at Rangers, although he has been a little quieter in recent weeks as Rohl’s side have been racking up the league wins.

The manner of the performance against Falkirk, though, rightly leaves the Gers open to criticism. It really was that bad.

Rangers 0-0 Falkirk match stats

As highlighted by Sofascore, Rangers registered 14 shots against Falkirk, four of which were on target, but Scott Bain was never really troubled.

The hosts got into half-decent positions countless times, but Oliver Antman and Thelo Aasgaard in particular just did absolutely nothing with the ball.

Bojan Miovski was feeding off scraps and looks a shell of the player that previously tore up the SPFL with Aberdeen.

Falkirk had five shots, meanwhile, two of those on target, but Jack Butland was also a relative spectator between the sticks.

What is perhaps more telling is that nine Rangers shots were off target.

Far more is required from Rohl’s side, who have a quick turnaround in games as they travel to Dundee United on Wednesday.
