Bojan Miovski to run scared after what Danny Rohl admitted following Rangers draw

Danny Rohl dropped a not-so-subtle hint to a number of Rangers’ underperformers after Sunday’s stalemate with Falkirk.

Rangers were held 0-0 by Falkirk at Ibrox in a Scottish Premiership game devoid of any real action at either end of the field.

Rohl‘s perfect start as Rangers boss in the league came to a halt, with no Gers players really covering themselves in glory.

Some performed worse than others, with Rangers skipper James Tavernier coming in for criticism for some poor deliveries.

A number of those brought into the side also underwhelmed, not least out-of-form striker Bojan Miovski.

Bojan Miovski fails to take his chance at Ibrox

Ibrox was far from full for the Falkirk game, even if the attendance was given as 50-thousand plus by the stadium announcer.

Those who turned up got to witness a horror show in terms of the Gers’ attacking capabilities as attack after attack fizzled out.

Rohl handed a start to Miovski in the absence of Youssef Chermiti, who missed out on the squad entirely due to illness.

This was a great opportunity for Miovski, who has struggled to get going at Rangers, to truly showcase his talents.

However, Miovski was unable to get involved in the match at all and was fortunate to stay on for the full 90 minutes.

Rohl made five changes but they ultimately did not pay off as the Gers did not ever look like they were going to score.

Danny Rohl has one eye on January transfer window

Rohl’s name was chanted loudly by the Rangers fans at full-time as they continue to get behind the German.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Rohl admitted that the fringe players he called upon against Falkirk are running out of chances.

“I never lose patience, but the opportunities will be fewer because it’s about form,” Rohl told reporters.

Some players use it, some players can’t use it, and then you look at which opportunities you have, and then you take the next one. This is football; it’s about competition.

Asked specifically about the January transfer window, Rohl said: “We are disappointed with this performance, but for me, it’s now week six or seven.

I have a clear overview now, a clear picture of what we miss at the moment, and from this point we go forward.

While Miovski was not named specifically, he is very much in that category of player who has been unable to seize his opportunities – in more ways than one.

Rangers have plenty of attacking players, yet none of them are stepping up. It is a real concern, and it may well be that the solution arrives in a little over a month’s time when the window reopens.
