Rangers fans will be thrilled with what Danny Rohl has done ahead of Braga clash

Bojan Miovski has been rightfully benched for Rangers’ Europa League clash against Braga on Thursday.

Rohl has been praised for his positive impact on Rangers since arriving in October, although he is still waiting for his first positive result in Europe.

Nasser Djiga and Emmanuel Fernandez are partnered up again in central defence after starring together in the narrow 2-1 win over Livingston on Sunday.

Rangers are expected to lose to Braga; therefore, it’s no shock that Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande once again make up their strongest midfield.

Danilo and Youssef Chermiti’s inclusion in the team sums up exactly what Rohl thinks of Miovski as he makes three changes to his squad.

Bojan Miovski benched once again, Danny Rohl makes three changes

Rangers have lost all four of their Europa League games so far, and Rohl is taking no prisoners when naming his team for the Braga match.

Miovski has been in dreadful form for Rangers since joining the Bears in the summer transfer window from Girona.

The 26-year-old has drawn criticism for his tendency to be on the periphery of matches, with Rohl preferring more dynamic forwards to lead the line.

Miovski was benched for the win over Livingston, and despite providing an assist for Diomande’s winning goal, it wasn’t enough for him to start on 27 November.

Danilo and Chermiti haven’t exactly had excellent campaigns either, although it has become increasingly clear that Miovski is the third-choice striker at the moment.

The North Macedonia international hasn’t played more than 50 minutes in one match under Rohl, and that will likely continue against Braga.

As for the changes to the team, Max Aarons, Connor Barron, and Chermiti all come into the team for Jayden Medhoma, Oliver Antman, and Thelo Aasgaard.

The atmosphere at Ibrox could fluctuate throughout the night as Rohl looks to count on Danilo and Chermiti for goals.

Rangers’ striker dilemma continues to split opinion

Arguments have been made for Danilo to be the leading striker as he continues to revive his form under Rohl.

He currently seems to be the preferred option alongside Chermiti, who started Rangers’ 2-0 loss to Roma on 6 November.

Chermiti has been frequently trusted in the Europa League this season, and the signs aren’t looking good for Miovski.

Rohl will be waiting for the January transfer window to start building his own squad, and Miovski’s lack of minutes are a clear hint that he might be one of the first players to go.

Sadly, being named as a sub again is another indication that the 26-year-old isn’t highly valued by Rohl.
