Rangers at risk of matching humiliating Scottish record ahead of Braga showdown
Rangers are at risk of losing their eighth European match in a row when they face Braga on Thursday.
The Gers have been awful in the Europa League so far, and currently sit bottom of the league stage.
Danny Rohl has been unable to turn their fortunes around in Europe, with Rangers losing 2-0 to Roma last time out.
As a result, Rangers are predicted to crash out of the Europa League in the league stage, with the Glaswegians only managing one goal in the competition to date.
However, if they are defeated against Braga, the Gers will match another terrible record.

Rangers one defeat away from matching terrible Motherwell record
Even before the Glaswegians entered the Europa League, they were struggling in Europe.
Under Russell Martin, Rangers were battered 9-1 on aggregate against Club Brugge to end their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
Even before this, the Gers were defeated 2-1 against Viktoria Plzen, but a 3-0 victory at Ibrox in the previous leg ensured that they secured the win in the tie.
- Rangers have lost all four of their Europa League matches this season
- The Gers were also defeated in their three qualification matches before this
- Now, Braga could inflict Rangers’ eighth consecutive European defeat on Thursday
However, these past results now mean that Rohl’s side are on a seven-match losing run in Europe, their worst-ever record.
According to BBC Sport on 27 November, Motherwell are the only Scottish side to lose more consecutive European matches, losing eight between 2010 and 2013.

Therefore, a defeat against Braga would see Rangers match this humiliating feat.

What Danny Rohl has said about Braga
Braga will no doubt be a tough test for Rangers.
While the Gers have do have a good record against the Portuguese side, the visitors have got off to a flying start in this year’s edition of the competition.
Braga currently sit fifth, having won three of their first four matches, including a 2-0 victory over Celtic in October.
Speaking about the opposition, Rohl said: “They are well organised, they are very aggressive, they have solutions with the ball.
“I think they will also come with confidence, but it’s for us as well, a new challenge. We know we need points in this competition.”
