Scottish FA respond to Rangers controversy vs Livingston in new reveal
Emmanuel Fernandez was everywhere after finally returning to the Rangers fold against Livingston on Saturday afternoon.
Fernandez opened the scoring from a James Tavernier corner at Ibrox on 22 November, but was nowhere to be seen as Tete Yengi bagged the equaliser.
Michael Stewart called a later incident “outrageous”, though, with Fernandez appearing to handle the ball from another Yengi shot, with Livingston left furious.
The Scottish FA are never far from the drama, and they’ve attempted to explain the decision.

Scottish FA share exactly why Rangers weren’t punished
Fernandez has never looked shyer when reviews were ongoing, but it was a feeling of relief for Rangers and Danny Rohl.
BBC Scotland were given guidance on the decision, something which Stewart couldn’t actually believe after watching replays himself.
They said: “We’ve got some SFA guidance on the penalty appeal for Livingston at Ibrox.
“Short proximity and natural arm position is what we’ve heard.“

With John Souttar and Derek Cornelius out injured, Fernandez would have been hoping for a solid afternoon, but he was in every last headline.
Emmanuel Fernandez can’t hide from drama
In what was seen as a sink-or-swim afternoon for Fernandez, proving himself more in the final third than his own defending is not great.
Of course, injuries don’t help, but it is the basics that continue to harm Rangers and Rohl, with simple decisions letting them down.
If you want to win silverware consistently, you have to be solid and do those basics perfectly, and that just isn’t happening right now in Govan.
Clinton Nsiala is another option on the periphery at Ibrox, and the Frenchman could come in for another chance, with Nasser Djiga also shocking.
With the Scottish FA under severe pressure from Rangers after the drama at Hampden Park, those in blue may actually thank them for once after letting this one go.
