Michael Stewart can’t believe Rangers vs Livingston footage live on BBC – ‘That’s outrageous’
Michael Stewart can’t believe VAR didn’t recommend an on-field review as Rangers faced Livingston in the William Hill Premiership on Saturday.
David Martindale’s team have travelled to Ibrox on 22 November, with the Gers looking to secure their fourth straight league victory.
With the game 1-1 after goals from Emmanuel Fernandez and Tete Yengi, the visitors had a reason to be dismayed as the centre-back handled the ball inside the box after a shot on goal.
Rohl made four changes to the starting lineup against Livingston, with Nasser Djiga, Fernandez, Thelo Aasgaard and Oliver Antman returning to the team, but things haven’t gone to plan.

Rangers lucky vs Livingston
It’s safe to say Stewart believes the Gers should’ve been penalised against Livingston for the apparent handball.
Having looked at it, the former Scotland international doesn’t understand how VAR didn’t intervene at Ibrox.
Yengi’s shot was on target and clearly hit Fernandez’s hands, but the natural arm position and proximity may have helped his cause.
Speaking on BBC Sportsound on 22 November, Stewart said: “That’s unfathomable that VAR has looked at that and said no. His arm is outstretched. It’s on target. That’s outrageous from VAR.”
Rohl will surely be worried about the injury crisis at Ibrox, with John Souttar, Derek Cornelius and Mikey Moore establishing themselves as first-team regulars in recent weeks.
It will be interesting to see how Rohl deals with the adversity at the Glaswegian outfit, with a chance to get back into the title race in the balance.
Danny Rohl can’t make Ibrox change vs Livingston after what’s been seen recently
Danilo’s resurgence has been encouraging to see under Rohl, but the German manager has often made changes to his teams at the break.
Rangers have often made halftime changes under the former Sheffield Wednesday boss, with the Brazilian striker going off in the last three domestic matches after playing 45 minutes.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes played |
| William Hill Premiership | 6 | 2 | 0 | 293 |
While Rohl may be managing the 26-year-old’s minutes due to his consistent fitness issues in Govan, he’s arguably the team’s best finisher.
With the game against Livingston still open, it would be wise for the 36-year-old head coach to keep relying on Danilo until the Gers have secured the three points.
