Rangers set for piece of £270million FIFA jackpot after new developments
Rangers will welcome back several of their stars as World Cup guarantees this week.
John Souttar made history with Scotland, qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in North America, despite missing the huge 4-2 victory over Denmark.
Souttar picked up an injury, but that didn’t stop him from the wild celebrations at Hampden Park.
Danny Rohl will quickly want his players back to focus, with Rangers taking on Livingston at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon in the Scottish Premiership.
Outside of the players, there is more reason for Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers to be delighted.

Rangers set for cash injection from FIFA jackpot
Despite not being well known, FIFA are set to share out a £270million jackpot to clubs linked with releasing their players for the tournament.
The Daily Record reported in its print edition on Thursday that it was a £7,600 daily rate at the previous edition back in 2022, but it may be less this time around.
Rangers are set to have several representatives at the World Cup in North America, especially with 16 more nations set to be involved this time around.

Which Rangers players could go to the 2026 World Cup?
Thankfully, for Rangers, they have several players who could represent their countries on the biggest stage.
Even at a lower daily rate than the previous £7,600, the Bears could have over five players at the World Cup, which will equate to hundreds of thousands from the group stages alone.
Ibrox News has put together a list of those who could fly out to North America.
- Scotland – John Souttar, Connor Barron, Liam Kelly
- Norway – Thelo Aasgaard
- Belgium – Nicolas Raskin
- North Macedonia – Bojan Miovski
- Canada – Derek Cornelius (loan)
- Ivory Coast – Mohamed Diomande
Aasgaard may be the most intriguing one to watch alongside Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland for Norway, especially after their rampant qualifying campaign.
Norway beat Moldova 11-1 during that, with Aasgaard scoring four goals for the Vikings that night, on their way to beating Italy to automatic qualification.
Rohl will hope he can translate some of that goalscoring form back to Ibrox between now and next summer, though, with the former Luton man only hitting the net once in blue so far.
Either way, Rangers are set for a nice jackpot when the World Cup comes around.
