‘I’ve heard Rangers consider bargain move for David Watson transfer’
Rangers are one of the teams looking to sign Kilmarnock midfielder David Watson.
Former Hearts ace Ryan Stevenson has claimed that the Gers are one of the teams that have the midfielder on their radar.
Derek Ferguson has wanted to see the Ibrox hierarchy test the water with Watson for some time now, and it looks like the Light Blues are now finally heeding the recommendation.
Danny Rohl may soon have to prepare for a future without Nicolas Raskin, but they may have their work cut out to sign the soon-to-be-out-of-contract Killie star.

Derek McInnes urged to beat Rangers to David Watson transfer
Stevenson wants Derek McInnes to reunite with Watson at Hearts amid interest from the Old Firm clubs.
Apart from being linked with a move to Ibrox, the Scotsman has revealed Hearts and Aberdeen also want the midfielder.
However, Stevenson has urged McInnes to make a statement and blow the other teams out of the water in the race to sign the 20-year-old.
The ex-Hearts ace wrote in the Daily Record on 20 November: “I’d like to see Derek add another Scottish player to the side, and the obvious target is Watson at Kilmarnock. He’s out of contract at Rugby Park, and no one knows him better than Del.”

Stevenson added: “I’ve heard the Old Firm are looking at him, and Aberdeen are also sniffing about Watson. But I’d like to see Hearts make a real statement of intent and blow all three of them out of the water by bringing Watson in.”
Lyall Cameron recently moved to Ibrox on a pre-contract agreement, as did Connor Barron, and the Glaswegian outfit could potentially similarly secure another Scottish talent.
David Watson to have second thoughts about Ibrox transfer
Cameron may be looking to leave Ibrox in January after struggling for minutes since Danny Rohl’s appointment.
Connor Barron has also failed to cement his place in the Rangers starting lineup after falling down the pecking order in the previous campaign.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes played |
| William Hill Premiership | 12 | 3 | 1 | 1069 |
Considering the two Scottish midfielders’ prospects at the Light Blues, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Watson have second thoughts about making a move to G51.
A reunion with McInnes could also possibly be more appealing for the Kilmarnock midfielder, but it remains to be seen how the situation will progress in the coming months.
