Rangers fans told to get excited by new appointment as UEFA coach speaks out
Rangers look set to announce the next piece of the jigsaw under the stewardship of Danny Rohl.
Rohl has somewhat changed Rangers’ fortunes over the last few weeks, though, as a result of their wretched start to the campaign, he is going to have to work wonders to make anything of the current season.
January recruitment is set to play a crucial role in deciding whether or not that can be achieved, though not just on a player front.
Rangers are due to announce the appointment of Scott Fry as their new set-piece coach, and it could be a very exciting move by the Light Blues.

Scott Fry could add a new dimension to Rangers
Rangers scored just nine goals from set-pieces in the Scottish Premiership last season, showcasing the need for change if things are to improve.
With the imminent appointment of Fry, it seems they have addressed those concerns, with UEFA coach John Walker detailing the impact he could have at Ibrox.
Firstly, Fry’s set-piece tactics led to 30 goals for Lincoln last season, having averaged around three corners per game.
Given Rangers’ typical possession dominance in games, that number will be increased significantly at Ibrox, which would, theoretically, bring even more goals.
Lincoln also found success with the re-born tradition of long throws, which is something that James Tavernier has in his locker.
Walker has also reiterated how Fry’s defensive tactics from corners have led to success, with Lincoln having conceded just three goals from 92 corners conceded.
Rangers needed another route of attacking threat
Rangers have only scored 15 goals this season, which is the lowest of any side in the top seven of the Scottish Premiership.
Djeidi Gassama has often been their main threat, and when he is nullified, the Gers simply look lost for creativity.
Having that added threat from set pieces will not only change the way Gassama is dealt with, but will also present far more opportunities for Rangers to take advantage of.
Should the appointment happen as expected, it can only bring positive results.
