Nedim Bajrami surely primed for Rangers exit after horrible international duty
Nedim Bajrami produced a miserable display in Albania’s 2-0 loss to England on Sunday.
Bajrami joined Rangers from Sassuolo in August 2024 and made 44 appearances last season under Philippe Clement and Barry Ferguson.
However, he has not been given the chance to replicate his minutes from last season, and his future at G51 is clearly in doubt.
Bajrami has been linked with a Rangers exit in the January transfer window, with the Bears continuing their full-scale rebuild under Danny Rohl.
The Albania international unsurprisingly looked completely devoid of confidence against England, who ran out winners thanks to Harry Kane’s late brace.
Bajrami is yet to feature under Rohl since his arrival in Govan, and the woeful performance against England won’t have helped his case at all.

Nedim Bajrami delivers abysmal display vs England
The Albania international looked completely out of his depth against England, who easily ran out 2-0 winners in the end.
Playing on the right wing, he failed to make a positive impact before being eventually subbed off for Burnley’s Armando Broja in the 75th minute.
The 26-year-old failed to complete any successful dribbles, whilst losing out on all five of his ground duels.
| Stat | Nedim Bajrami |
| Minutes played | 75 |
| Touches | 26 |
| Pass accuracy | 11/16 (69%) |
| Ground duels won | 0/5 (100%) |
| Successful dribbles | 0/2 (100%) |
Bajrami will be clearly frustrated with his situation at Rangers, and it now looks clearer than ever that he’ll leave Govan in January.
This is a stark contrast from last season, where he was a valued squad member who registered a pass accuracy of 82.5 per cent and created 26 chances in 28 league appearances.
Bajrami scored a brilliant goal against Alloa Athletic in the Premier Sports Cup clash on 16 August, but he has not started a game for the Bears since.
The addition of several forward players in the summer transfer window has meant that the 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order.
Nedim Bajrami must be sold as Danny Rohl looks to trim the squad
Despite being valuable last season, Bajrami only managed to register three goal contributions in the Scottish Premiership.
For a player who produced several brilliant moments for Sassuolo in Serie A, Bajrami has underwhelmed following his £3.4million move.
With the likes of Mikey Moore, Djeidi Gassama, and Oliver Antman all coming in over the summer, it has left Bajrami with no way of proving himself under Rohl.
The Bears desperately need to trim the size of their squad, and unfortunately for Bajrami, he looks to be one of the first victims.
