Danny Rohl will love latest Mikey Moore scenes away from Rangers

Danny Rohl will be ecstatic after Mikey Moore was not selected for England Under-19s’ clash with Latvia on Saturday.

Moore featured for the full 90 minutes away from Rangers on 12 November, and was scheduled for three matches across the break.

Moore has recently emerged as genuine option for Rangers, and Rohl would have been concerned about the potential for injury.

However, it seems like he is less likely to come back to Ibrox with any problems after not featuring on 15 November.

Mikey Moore not playing will only benefit Rangers

Of course, game time is good for Moore, because he is a young player trying to develop his game and become consistent.

However, three matches in six days would have brought an increased risk of injury and potentially left the Gers without one of their most influential players.

Rohl will surely love the fact that his man was not even on the bench, as it means he should be fresher when his side returns to action against Livingston on 22 November.

Moore can be Rohl’s go-to man at Rangers

Moore has started the Rohl reign in Govan playing regularly, and the ex-Sheffield Wednesday manager will hope that he can keep coming up with the goods.

The Spurs loanee scored his first goal for the Gers in the win over Dundee last time out, and had another ruled out in the same game.

That followed a positive showing against Roma in the Europa League, despite his side falling to a 3-0 defeat in G51.

Rohl will hope that he can keep up his momentum and forge a role as a starter in his team, and produce the type of contribution that he did against the Dens Park outfit more often.

The fact that he got a rest from what was supposed to be a very tough schedule will only be a bonus for the Glasgow giants.
