Scott Brown thrilled by Rangers rising star after what he’s noticed behind the scenes on loan
Scott Brown has been left dazzled by the impact that a Rangers starlet has made during his loan spell so far in 2025-26.
The Gers haven’t had an easy start to the campaign in the Premiership, as they are already onto their second manager, but the progress of some of their youngsters is a major positive.
Findlay Curtis produced some magical moments for Rangers in the early stages of the season, and there could be plenty more to follow in his footsteps in the coming years and make their mark in the first team.
Several of the best young talents at Ibrox have headed out on loan this term, and one in particular has caught the eye with his recent displays.

Paul Nsio hailed for Raith Rovers performances
Paul Nsio signed a new contract at Rangers back in September and was immediately loaned out to Raith Rovers for the duration of the campaign.
The Govan outfit have a co-operation agreement with the Championship side, which allows them to frequently send young prospects to gain valuable senior experience at Stark’s Park.
Nsio is one of the latest Gers stars to make the temporary switch, alongside striker Josh Gentles, and his performances have attracted plenty of attention of late.
- Nsio has made three appearances for Rangers at senior level
- He made his debut as a 16-year-old against Queen of the South back in September 2022
- He penned a new two-year deal at Ibrox in September
The midfielder has had to bide his time in the early stages of his loan spell, but he has since played every single minute of Raith Rovers’ last two league clashes.
Nsio has been praised for the patience he has shown by his captain Scott Brown, who has been hugely excited by his recent displays.
“Paul (Nsio) has been really patient with his chance as he had to wait,” the 30-year-old told Fife Today.
“I thought he did really well in the game against Morton, and it will be good to see him kick on. I’ve travelled in with him and he is a really good boy in the dressing room. It’s nice to see he’s got his chance.

“Part of these young Rangers boys coming here is that hopefully we can give them a platform to go and play, nurture them and see them develop. That’s where their parent club expect them to be.”
Bloated Rangers squad to limit opportunities for youngsters
Curtis has played just nine minutes for Rangers since Danny Rohl’s arrival, and the current state of the squad at Ibrox isn’t really conducive to any other youngsters breaking through the ranks.
The likes of Joe Rothwell, Lyall Cameron, Emmanuel Fernandez and Nedim Bajrami have all effectively been dead weight since the new boss took the reins, and as a result, there is little scope for a young player to climb the pecking order.
It is surely an immediate priority for Rohl and Kevin Thelwell to work together in January to try and trim down the number of fringe players within the squad.
If they can manage that effectively, then there is undoubtedly scope for some of the young prodigies at the club to start having an involvement at senior level, but for now at least, Rohl appears to have firmly closed the door.
