Nedim Bajrami January transfer set at Rangers after insider reveal

Nedim Bajrami has become a forgotten figure at Rangers under Danny Rohl.

The Albania international hasn’t played for the Gers since coming on as a late substitute in the 1-1 draw against Falkirk away from home on 5 October.

Danny Rohl subsequently replaced Russell Martin after the result in FK2, and the 26-year-old has since warmed the bench at the Light Blues.

Bajrami will undoubtedly be frustrated with his situation at Ibrox, and it now looks clearer than ever that he’ll want to leave the Glaswegian outfit in January.

Rangers have unhappy camper in Nedim Bajrami

Albania manager Sylvinho has admitted that Bajrami is “not satisfied” with how things are going at the Gers this season.

The Light Blues signed the attacking-midfielder from Sassuolo last summer for £3.4m, but it’s safe to say he hasn’t lived up to expectations at Ibrox.

With the addition of several forward players at the Glaswegian outfit in the previous transfer window, the Albanian national has fallen down the pecking order.

Speaking to the media via Daily Record on 12 November, Sylvinho said: “It’s true that I’m not happy or satisfied with his position at his club. And he’s not satisfied either.”

Rabbi Matondo is another player who’s struggling at Ibrox, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Gers offload a few players in January.

Rohl has given most players an opportunity to redeem themselves in G51, but the Wales international and Bajrami haven’t, indicating they’re surplus to requirements in Govan.

Matondo and Bajrami clearly have no future at Ibrox, with Rohl seemingly having no faith in them.

It would make sense for Rangers to cash in on the two attackers and invest that money into quality reinforcements for the German manager.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss also doesn’t appear to have Kieran Dowell, Clinton Nsiala and Emmanuel Fernandez in his plans at Ibrox this season, making their exits in the winter transfer window sensible.

Rohl has changed the mood in G51 recently after three back-to-back wins in the William Hill Premiership, and he’ll now certainly hope Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises back him with funds in the coming weeks.
