Todd Cantwell sends two-word message to Jack Butland as Rangers win again under Danny Rohl
Todd Cantwell has been keeping a close eye on things as Rangers secured their third Scottish Premiership win in a row against Dundee on Sunday.
Goals from Nico Raskin, Mikey Moore, and Djeidi Gassama ensured Danny Rohl‘s side eased to a comfortable win on the road on 9 November.
With Hearts dropping points for the second week in a row, Rangers have now closed the gap on the league leaders to 12 points, with a game in hand.
Following Rangers’ 3-0 win over Dundee, Cantwell was the latest man to praise Jack Butland as Rohl continued his impressive domestic start.

Todd Cantwell sends new Jack Butland message
Butland has been one of Rangers’ standout performers this season, saving Russell Martin from further embarrassment in many games before he was sacked.
After the win, Butland sent a message to Gers fans on social media, saying, “Important win for us today, need to kick on after the break.”
Cantwell responded in the comments: “Super Jack.”
Cantwell spent two seasons in Govan, making 64 appearances and scoring 14 goals in the process.
The 27-year-old midfielder is now at Blackburn, and it’s nice to see the love he has for his former Light Blues teammates.
Martin wanted a goalkeeper who is better with the ball at his feet to suit his expansive playing style, yet Butland’s shot-stopping abilities can’t be replaced.
Since he arrived in 2023, he has been consistent and reliable in a Rangers team that has undergone so much change.
The 32-year-old’s experience is invaluable, and the shot-stopper has already shown this season why he is key to this struggling Rangers side.
Where would Rangers be without Jack Butland?
Butland’s future at Ibrox was in doubt over the summer, with former Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein and Sheffield Wednesday’s Pierce Charles linked with moves to the Bears.
Butland’s penalty save against Genk kept the Bears in the match, whilst he was unfortunate after saving a Lawrence Shankland spot-kick, as the striker tapped home the rebound in the defeat to Hearts.
He made it three penalty saves at Hibernian a couple of weeks ago, too.
| Saves | 5 |
| Expected goals prevented | 0.33 |
| Pass accuracy | 68% |
| Recoveries | 8 |
Despite making the odd mistake every now and again, Rangers have been peppered with shots on their goal for the majority of this season.
The 32-year-old has picked the ball out of his net 10 times in the league, yet that figure could easily be doubled if it weren’t for some of his excellent displays.
If it weren’t for Butland’s influence at Ibrox, Rangers would still be around the relegation zone, as Rohl continues to pick up the pieces.
