Dundee in ‘horror show’ vs Rangers amid Matthew MacDermid call on Mikey Moore
Neil McCann couldn’t believe what he saw from Dundee against Rangers.
Rangers secured a 2-0 win over Dundee on Sunday as Danny Rohl continued his winning streak in Scottish Premiership outings.
After Rangers lost 2-0 to Roma in mid-week, a reaction was needed after back-to-back defeats across all competitions.
The Light Blues got exactly that when Nico Raskin headed home a James Tavernier cross before Mikey Moore made it 2-0 five minutes later.
The teenager so nearly made it 3-0 before VAR ordered Matthew MacDermaid to take a look, but McCann couldn’t believe what he saw at Dens Park.

Dundee nearly gifted Mikey Moore a second goal
Moore has had a mixed spell at Rangers since signing from Tottenham, but has looked much improved with Rohl in the dugout.
The winger never clicked under Russell Martin and has been among a wider audience that has thrived since the ex-Southampton man’s departure.
His step up in form was once again on show for the Light Blues against the Dee, with his showing certainly deserving of a goal.
Moore nearly had a second, but his strike was eventually ruled out for offside after referee MacDermaid was ordered to review the decision at the pitchside monitor.
The scramble inside the Dundee box before the teen’s strike left McCann baffled as he spoke out via Sky Sports Football on 9 November.
He said: “It’s a really good finish from Mikey Moore on his left side. It’s a horror show from Dundee in terms of trying to clear their lines. It’s too easy. It’s too easy for Rangers.“
VAR questionable again for Rangers vs Dundee
The Ibrox faithful were left unimpressed when Auston Trusty remained on the pitch for Celtic after kicking out at Jack Butland in the League Cup semi-final.
Rangers put out a statement to share their frustration surrounding this call, especially after Thelo Aasgaard was sent off for something very similar.
The Gers are once again bound to have questions after Moore’s strike was ruled out at Dens after a bizarre set of checks by VAR.
The Englishman was clearly in an offside position, so it is unclear why a decision ever needed to be made by MacDermaid at the pitchside monitor.
A penalty could have been awarded in the away side’s favour, but that was also ruled against, so yet again the G51 outfit are bound to feel confused by what they’ve seen from match officials.
