Supercomputer shares just how many points Rangers will get in Europa League in embarrassing prediction
Rangers are predicted to finish with an embarrassingly low points total in this season’s Champions League.
Rangers suffered a 2-0 defeat to AS Roma on Thursday, in what was a difficult game at Ibrox.
The result makes it back-to-back defeats for Danny Rohl’s side after rivals Celtic triumphed over Rangers during a 3-1 victory in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final last Sunday.
Rohl landed at Ibrox in October to turn around the Gers’ season, but it seems the 36-year-old still has a fair bit to navigate.

Rangers predicted to finish 35th in Europa League
Rangers’ defeat to Roma made it four consecutive defeats in the Europa League, with the Gers failing to win a single point thus far.
As a result, the Scottish Premiership side are currently last in the table with a minus seven goal difference.
Unfortunately for Rangers fans, things are not expected to change for the better, with the Gers predicted to finish 35th with an average of four points, according to Opta’s supercomputer.
That means one win, one draw and two defeats from the remaining four fixtures.
- The Gers have a 2.41 per cent shot at booking a place in the knockouts
- Rangers have a zero per cent chance of winning the competition
Meanwhile, Celtic are predicted to finish 28th and will just miss out on the Europa League knockouts.

The prediction is an embarrassing one for all involved at Rangers, and it should act as a wake-up call for the team to turn their fate around.
What went wrong for Rangers against Roma?
To put it quite simply, Roma may have left with three points, but the Gers had ample opportunity to secure the win.
Indeed, while their opponents had 60 per cent possession, Rangers created more chances according to Sofascore.
- Rangers created four big chances to Roma’s three
- Roma took 14 shots
- The Gers made 11 attempts on goal
However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side were the better defensive team.
The visitors won 56 per cent of their tackles, made 47 recoveries and recorded 25 total tackles. Meanwhile, the home side won 50 per cent of their tackles, made 40 recoveries and recorded 10 total tackles.
Roma’s keeper also made one more save than Jack Butland and prevented 0.35 goals.
Their performance was a clear sign to Thelwell that something must change at Ibrox, or else his side will suffer further embarrassment and disappointment.
