Nasser Djiga loan to be terminated as Rangers eye winter transfer already

Nasser Djiga has struggled to adapt to Scottish football.

Rangers’ latest defeat to Roma in the Europa League was their ninth loss of the season, and November has only just got underway.

Danny Rohl has a huge task to turn Rangers’ fortunes around, and he certainly isn’t being helped by several of the signings that arrived at Ibrox in the summer.

Djiga has struggled for form this season, and his time as a Light Blues player could come to an end in January.

Rangers ready Mujaid Sadick transfer

Rangers have been linked with a move to sign Genk’s Mujaid Sadick in the January transfer window, with Rohl seemingly keen on strengthening their defensive options.

In the Europa League alone this season, the Gers have conceded eight goals, with the same number of goals conceded in the Scottish Premiership.

Djiga‘s struggles at Ibrox have played a part in that, and while the signing of Sadick would be a permanent one, it could still have a knock-on effect.

His place in the side would be as good as lost, and if Rangers are to do the necessary business in January, they may look to the loan market.

Right now, they have five players on loan, including Djiga, leaving room for one more

However, if Djiga were to lose his place, it would make sense to send him back to Wolves early and open up the door for a second loan arrival in the winter.

Rangers need to prioritise striker signing

Ibrox News revealed that Youssef Chermiti could leave on loan in January, with Bragan the frontrunner for his signature if the Light Blues sanction a deal.

Even with him, Rohl needs more firepower, and that will only be amplified without him.

Lawrence Shankland could re-emerge as a target for Rangers, who are in desperate need of someone to score goals on a consistent basis.

It may be too late by then to salvage the current campaign, but reinforcements are going to be needed regardless.
