Shock Ally McCoist prediction a nightmare for Rangers and Scottish football
Rangers may have beaten Kilmarnock on Sunday, but their prospects in the William Hill Premiership still look bleak.
Stuart Kettlewell’s team travelled to Ibrox on 26 October, but the Gers had too much quality for them by the end of the 90 minutes.
Danny Rohl was happy to get his first win against Kilmarnock, with the German manager facing disappointment in the Europa League after the 3-0 loss to Brann.
Celtic’s loss to Hearts added to the delight in G51, but it may not bode well for the future of football in Scotland.

Hearts to win William Hill Premiership if Rangers and Celtic’s demise continues
Ally McCoist predicts Hearts could potentially win the William Hill Premiership this season, but that may come at a cost.
From a neutral perspective, a new champion in Scottish football that isn’t the Gers or Celtic after 40 years would be a good thing, but that would mean the continuation of struggles at Ibrox and Parkhead.
The Light Blues’ icon feels that for the Jambos to finally break the duopoly in Scotland, the two Glaswegian outfits’ demise may need to go on, which will ultimately hurt football in the country.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 27 October, McCoist said: “Yeah. Clearly, I’m a Rangers man, and I want them to win the title, that goes without saying. However, you make a valid point. Yes, it’s brilliantly refreshing and certainly for the neutral, of which I’m not, it would have to be a good thing for Scottish football.”
McCoist added: “What will it take to happen? They’re going to have to continue on the remarkable run they’re on. They will probably have to strengthen in the January window. And most importantly, they’re going to have to enjoy the continued demise of Rangers and Celtic, which isn’t good for Scottish football.”
Brendan Rodgers and Rohl don’t have the best squads at their disposal, which is certainly concerning for both teams.

Andrew Cavenagh to blame as Ibrox hierarchy fail to capitalise on Celtic crisis
Rangers could’ve capitalised on Celtic’s struggles this season, but instead, Andrew Cavenagh insisted on giving Russell Martin more time.
The Hoops haven’t been at their vintage best in recent months, leaving the door open for the Gers to finally win the league title.

As things stand, Hearts are leading the league table after eight wins and one draw in nine matches, with the Light Blues 13 points behind them.
Derek McInnes’ team have cemented themselves as favourites for the title after opening up an eight-point gap with Celtic, and an exciting race is well and truly underway.
