Hamza Igamane sends message as Rangers star shines in first Danny Rohl win vs Kilmarnock
Rangers’ Danny Rohl era has lift off after his first win at Ibrox.
Rohl coached Rangers to a 3-1 win against Kilmarnock on Sunday, in what was his first game at Ibrox.
The German had a lot to take in from the game, with Jack Butland looking over his shoulder after yet another high-profile error from a big-name player.
Rangers played in a 3-5-2 formation and were dominant in possession, as Rohl decided to play Djeidi Gassama at right-wing back.
After the game, ex-Gers striker Hamza Igamane took to social media to send his congratulations after a shining victory at Ibrox.

Hamza Igamane congratulates Danilo after goal vs Kilmarnock
Igamane was loved in Glasgow by Gers fans, as the Bears were sad to see the striker depart Ibrox for Lille earlier in the season.
Despite his move to France, Igamane clearly still holds his former Rangers teammates in high regard, following his latest comment.
- Igamane joined Ligue 1 side Lille from Rangers in August
- Lille activated Igamane’s £10.4m release clause
- Igamane has four league goals already for Lille
Danilo scored his first Scottish Premiership goal of the season, and first of hopefully many under Rohl, as Igamane left a supportive comment on the Brazilian’s Instagram post.
He simply said: “Congratulations, bro.”
It’s always nice to see players who have moved on still hold Rangers and those connected close to their heart, and it’s support that could be crucial for the Gers and Danilo.

Danny Rohl can show Rangers the best version of Danilo
Big changes have already been seen since Rohl arrived at Ibrox, and one of them is the drastic style of play in comparison to what Gers fans were used to under Russell Martin.
With Rohl in charge, Rangers will look to penetrate opposition defences, get balls in the box, and into dangerous areas.
| Games | Goals |
| 61 | 14 |
This will suit players like Danilo, as while he’s been at the club, he’s been coached by managers who like to have a lot of the ball, but not create much with it.
All Danilo needs is chances to feed off and a confidence boost, and the goal against Killie could come at a vital time for both him and the Bears.
Rangers next play Hibernian on Wednesday night, as Danilo could make a massive stride by scoring in consecutive games and establish himself as a starter for Rohl.
