Danny Rohl sends ‘incredible’ message to Rangers fans after Kilmarnock win
Rangers secured a 3-1 victory against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
Rangers could have equalled Graeme Souness’ record of failing to win five Scottish Premiership matches in a row at home, had they not won.
However, Rohl‘s side bounced back from their miserable run of form, to put together a great result which can hopefully kickstart the new manager’s reign.
Goals from Derek Cornelius, Danilo and Youssef Chermiti were enough to ensure a dream home debut in the dugout for the German.

Danny Rohl reacts to first Rangers victory vs Kilmarnock
Rohl had started life at Rangers with a dismal defeat to SK Brann, but he secured a first win against the East Ayrshire side.
He thanked the Gers supporters for the welcome they have given him and insisted that he is aware of the challenges that his side face in the coming weeks.
Taking to Instagram on 26 October, he said: “To enjoy the first game at Ibrox with a win today and see what it means in this stadium was incredible.
“The three points is one small step in the right direction and I am pleased with the reaction from the players.
“We know we have a lot to improve but now we go forward and it is important we do this all together ahead of another critical week. Thank you for giving me such a great welcome.”
Why Rangers supporters must be behind Rohl already
Rohl has already shown glimpses as to why he can succeed in Govan, and supporters should be backing him after what has happened recently.
For starters, he has embraced the culture, with things such as wearing a suit and brogues in the dugout, something that Russell Martin disregarded.
- Rangers are now fifth in the league
- They are now five points behind arch-rivals Celtic
- The Gers are still 13 points behind league leaders Hearts
He has shown that he is open with supporters and willing to engage in dialogue with them when things do not go right, an accountability, which again, the ex-Southampton man lacked.
That was evident as he spoke to angry Light Blues fans in Bergen Airport after the disappointing midweek defeat in Norway.
He faces a tough task to turn things around after the start to the season that Martin had, but with the backing of the fanbase behind him, he will fancy his chances.
The latest message will only further encourage fans that he is the right man to take the G51 outfit into the future, as he is aware of the obstacles despite the win.
