Ally McCoist hits out amid ‘bizarre’ Findlay Curtis developments at Rangers
Findlay Curtis has been the victim of the chaos at Rangers this season.
Curtis is one of the best players to come out of Rangers’ academy in recent years, and made an impressive start to the campaign.
Curtis scored three goals for the Gers in the opening stages of the campaign, but his chances have been limited at Ibrox since then.
He has featured for a total of just 235 minutes for the Light Blues so far this season, and that is simply not enough.

Findlay Curtis’ situation at Rangers blasted by Ally McCoist
Curtis’ minutes have been reduced by Rangers signing Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham.
However, Gers legend Ally McCoist hit out at that issue live on air, claiming that he cannot see the logic in bringing somebody in and stifling your own youngster’s chances.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 27 October (6:50 am), he said: “I mean there is a kid at Rangers who hasn’t been getting his chance, they have been playing Mikey Moore.
“I’m not complaining with Mikey Moore, I’m really not, he will go on to be a good player and have a great career
“At this moment in time, there is a lad called Findlay Curtis, probably there is nothing between the two of them.
“So I am thinking, why are you bringing someone up from London to play in a position that one of your 18-year-old players can play themselves?
“I think the two of them will be great, but it is little things like that, I find bizarre.”

McCoist is right, Curtis deserves more at Rangers
Moore arrived in Govan as a highly-rated prospect, but he has failed to live up to expectations so far.
The Spurs star has just two assists in 13 matches for the Light Blues so far, and it is baffling that Curtis had not been given more opportunities in his place.
- Moore notched assists against Dundee United in the league and Alloa Atletic in the League Cup
- Curtis got vital goals against Panathinaikos and St.Mirren, and also scored against Alloa
- Curtis is contracted to the Ibrox club, Moore is only on loan
There seems to be little chance that the Premier League outfit will allow him to move to Scotland permanently, so it makes little sense to develop somebody else’s player, who is not performing at the moment.
It would be different if Moore had come in and ripped Scottish football apart, but he has not, so the Gers should prioritise their own talent, over one that will not benefit them in the long term.
Curtis should be ahead of Moore in the pecking order from now on, McCoist’s argument is spot on, the situation is very bizarre, and Danny Rohl needs to rectify it.
