Hearts put final nail in Kevin Thelwell coffin at Rangers after what happened vs Celtic
Kevin Thelwell is deservedly coming under increased scrutiny at Rangers.
Thelwell was appointed by Rangers over the summer as Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers looked to kickstart their rebuild at Ibrox.
The Gers brought in Russell Martin before Rangers quickly sacked him in what was a shocking run as head coach in Govan.
Thelwell has since scuppered moves for Kevin Muscat and Steven Gerrard as the Light Blues looked to replace the outgoing Englishman.
The Sporting Director has been slammed for this involvement, and Thelwell hasn’t been helped by what’s going on at Hearts right now.

Kevin Thelwell exposed for shocking Rangers transfers
Thelwell had a significant say in Rangers’ transfers over the summer, as a sizable outlay was spent on revamping the squad in G51.
There was initial optimism when Max Aarons and Joe Rothwell arrived to add Premier League experience to the squad.
Frustrations became obvious not too long after as the likes of Emmanuel Fernandez, Nasser Djiga, Mikey Moore, and Jayden Meghoma came in.
This selection of young players hasn’t improved the Gers and has arguably taken away from the ability to develop their own young talent.
Rangers summer signings:
- Max Aarons
- Joe Rothwell
- Emmanuel Fernandez
- Thelo Aasgaard
- Nasser Djiga
- Djedi Gassama
- Mikey Moore
- Oliver Antman
- Jayden Meghoma
- Bojan Miovski
- Youssef Chermiti
- Derek Cornelius
Thellwell has to take the blame for this, but arguably the signing of Youssef Chermiti has left the biggest stain on his record so far.
The striker signed from Everton for £8.8million despite never scoring for the Toffees, raising massive questions about the sporting director.

After seeing what Hearts have done, serious questions have to be asked of Thewell and whether he should be allowed to remain at Ibrox.
Hearts have shown Thelwell up vs Celtic
Hearts moved eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 3-1 win over Celtic on Sunday.
Goals from Alexandros Kiziridis and Lawrence Shankland after an earlier Dane Murray own goal proved to be enough to secure three points at Tynecastle.
The Greek winger was superb and linked up well with fellow summer signing Claudio Braga to cause huge problems for Rodgers’ side.
The wideman came in from Slovakian outfit Zemplin Michalovce, while his Portuguese teammate moved to Scotland from Aalesund of Norway.
Tony Bloom’s recruitment network has worked wonders again, proving that big-money signings from more recognised leagues aren’t always necessary.
Thelwell has been shown exactly how well money can be spent to fire a club in the right direction, with a league title now firmly in their sights.
