Rangers completely out of touch after latest announcement at Ibrox

Danny Rohl already faces a make-or-break fixture at Rangers against Kilmarnock on Sunday.

The German manager was appointed in the Gers’ dugout after a protracted search led by Andrew Cavenagh for Russell Martin’s replacement.

Rohl suffered defeat against Brann in the Europa League on 23 October, and the former Sheffield Wednesday boss has undoubtedly been handed a reality check after his first game in charge of the Light Blues.

Kilmarnock travel to Ibrox on 26 October, and with the mood among fans in G51 already reaching boiling point, Rohl has no time to waste.

Rangers launch new fourth kit for 2025-26 season

Supporters can now buy the Gers’ fourth kit for the 2025-26 season, which is inspired by the 2000 Scottish Cup final.

The Light Blues announced the launch of the orange strip on 25 October, just a few days after the embarrassing 3-0 defeat at Brann Stadion.

Four Lads Had A Dream weren’t pleased with the timing of the Glaswegian outfit’s launch amid fan unrest, calling out the decision-makers at Ibrox.

They wrote on X on 25 October: “Great launch. Smashing kit. Timing and awareness of wider feeling, completely ignorant.”

At a time when Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart have come in for a lot of criticism at Ibrox, it feels a bit out of touch for the Gers to release their fourth kit.

Had the announcement come after the Light Blues had won a fixture, it would’ve been a much better scenario for the club.

Danny Rohl must ignore Kevin Thelwell vs Kilmarnock

Thelwell seems to have had a say in Rohl’s starting lineup in Norway, with the sporting director accused of using his influence to pick certain players.

Rangers fans have already had enough of the former Everton chief, and if things don’t turn around at Ibrox quickly, he may be on the chopping block.

Rohl took responsibility for the loss against Brann, something Martin didn’t do during his time in G51, and the German head coach also made an effort to talk to supporters at Brann Stadion after the full-time whistle.

While fans will back the ex-Owls boss for now, the most important thing at the Glaswegian outfit is to win games, and failure to do so may lead to another change in the dugout.
