Ally McCoist makes Danny Rohl plea to leave out ‘bang-average’ Rangers star
Rangers lost 3-0 to Brann in the Europa League on Thursday.
Goals from Emil Kornvig, Jacob Lungi Sorensen, and Noah Holm comfortably saw off a Rangers side in disarray.
Danny Rohl’s first match in charge highlighted the work that needs to be done in Govan following the dismal performance.
Youssef Chermiti was woeful on Thursday, yet Ally McCoist has demanded that another Rangers player should be left out in the cold.

Mikey Moore must be dropped from Rangers squad
Mikey Moore joined Rangers on loan from Tottenham, yet the teenager has struggled to impress for the Bears.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 24 October, McCoist pleaded for Scottish talents to gain more game time in favour of Moore.
He said: “Mikey Moore will be a good player in the future, but he’s not ready to play at this moment in time.
“We are riddling our team with bang-average players, and the Rangers fans would rather see 11 Scottish young players than what is currently happening.”
- Moore has made 12 appearances for Rangers, with six of them being starts
- He’s been criticised heavily for some of his performances, particularly his display against Celtic
- Rohl must now look at homegrown talents over Moore
Moore has gained intense criticism throughout the season, and it has sparked a debate over whether he merits his involvement in first-team action.
Whilst it feels harsh for the 18-year-old, Rangers can’t afford to select him, especially when there are other talents on the bench would could all have a bigger impact.
What will frustrate Light Blues supporters is the lack of faith placed in academy graduates this season.

Findlay Curtis among Scottish talents who aren’t getting a look in
Findlay Curtis has risen through the Rangers ranks at astonishing speed and started this season brilliantly.
The 18-year-old started the season on fire and scored crucial goals against St. Mirren, Alloa Athletic, and Panathinaikos.
Bailey Rice should also be given a chance in midfield, whilst the signing of talented prospect Lyall Cameron could excite the Ibrox crowd if Rohl is ready to use him.
Rohl must balance the minutes of all his young stars, yet with Moore not a permanent signing for the Bears, it begs the question of why Scottish talents aren’t developing properly at Rangers.
