Ally McCoist slams ‘shocking’ Rangers development after what happened in summer
Rangers were handily beaten 3-0 by Brann in the Europa League on Thursday.
Danny Rohl suffered defeat at the Brann Stadion on 23 October, with the German manager certainly getting a reality check in his first game in charge of the Gers.
Emil Kornvig, Joacb Sorensen and Noah Hold scored for the hosts as they ran away with the three points in Norway.
James Tavernier was one of the players who let Rohl down, and the Glaswegian outfit’s captain did admit post-match that their performance was unacceptable, and there may be a larger issue at play.

Rangers transfer recruitment nowhere near good enough
Under Kevin Thelwell, the Gers’ recruitment has been “absolutely hopeless”, Ally McCoist says.
Talking about the overall process of buying and selling players at Ibrox over the last few years, the Light Blues’ icon has been shocked by what he’s seen.
McCoist is baffled to see the Glaswegian outfit get rid of Cyriel Dessers, Vaclav Cerny and Hamza Igamane in the summer without replacing them adequately.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 24 October, the Scotsman said: “The recruitment has been absolutely hopeless. You look at recruitment collectively in the last how many years has been shocking.”
McCoist added: “And I’m looking at the boys that left in the summer. You got rid of Dessers, Cerny and Igamane. You’ve lost the best part of 65 goals out of your team, and you’ve absolutely not replaced them.”
Collectively, the three forwards scored 63 goals for the Gers last season but are now plying their trade elsewhere.
Kevin Thelwell lucky to still have job at Ibrox
Fans have had enough of Kevin Thelwell at Ibrox, with the sporting director at the centre of some significant decisions in G51, like the appointment of Russell Martin.
The former Everton chief’s tenure has also been marred by the fact that Rangers spent £8million to sign Youssef Chermiti in the summer, and the 21-year-old has looked nowhere near that good a player.

Supporters may now be regretting Nils Koppen’s departure from the Light Blues, with the Belgian chief striving to build a sustainable recruitment model in Govan, as evidenced by transfers such as Igamane.
Thelwell is lucky he still has a job at Ibrox, but that may soon change if Rohl doesn’t turn things around sooner rather than later.
