Youssef Chermiti pathetic, 3/10 woeful – Rangers player ratings vs Brann

Rangers fell to an embarrassing 3-0 defeat away to Brann in the Europa League.

Rohl was well aware of the need to get off to a good start at Rangers, off the back of their 2-2 draw with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

Even more so in the Europa League, given the fact that the Gers had lost both encounters in the competition up to this point.

Unfortunately for Rohl, that was not the case, with Emil Kornvig giving Brann the lead after 40 minutes and Jacob Sorensen doubling the hosts’ lead after 55 minutes.

Noah Holm added a third for the hosts in the final 10 minutes, with the Light Blues suffering an embarrassing 3-0 defeat.

Jayden Meghoma has no future at Rangers

Jayden Meghoma was shocking again for Rangers against Brann, and was largely at fault for the second goal.

Not for the first time in the game, Brann had a free header from a set piece, and Meghoma was the man supposedly marking Sorensen.

However, it wasn’t just his defensive mishaps that sparked frustration, but his inability on the ball was just as obvious.

Meghoma is on loan at Ibrox this season, and after five appearances, he has yet to give the Light Blues any reason to make that permanent.

Youssef Chermiti simply isn’t good enough

Rangers lost a lot of goals when Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane departed Ibrox in the summer, with two centre-forwards coming in to replace them.

Chermiti was one of them, and his start to life at Rangers has been far from ideal.

Not for the first time this season, he failed to pose any attacking threat for the Light Blues, while offering very little in his general play.

Chermiti was far too weak when the ball came to him, and on the odd occasions he got the ball under control with his first touch, more often than not, the second touch saw him lose possession.

With Bojan Miosvki already having found the net twice for the Gers this season, it is even clearer now that he will be Rohl’s starting striker.
